Perhaps Manchester could change the city’s name to SERCOCHESTER. Mayor, Andy Burnham, asked for £65 million from the Boris Johnson government in support of businesses and staff affected by the Covid measures, which is "the bare minimum to prevent a winter of real hardship here”. The government had no problem handing 16 times that amount to one company, SERCO, for their inept ‘track and trace’ contracts.
